An up to date and modern distribution, with gaming optimizations that still has the new user in mind. While it isn't fully as beginner friendly as the likes of Zorin and Mint, it should still be considered beginner friendly. Much recommended!

Set timer or remove completely sudo nano /boot/efi/EFI/refind/refind.conf

Time in seconds, -1 removes the menu completely from startup.

There's no UI for changing cursor theme. Do this, the name of the theme is the folder name:

Extract the cursor icon theme to /usr/share/icons

sudo nano /etc/environment and add these: XCURSOR_SIZE=48 XCURSOR_THEME=Future-cyan-cursors
